У пачатку было́ Слова, і Слова было́ ў Бога, і Богам было́ Слова.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Яно было ў пачатку ў Бога;

He was in the beginning with God.

усё праз Яго пачало́ быць, і без Яго нішто не пачало́ быць, што пачало́ быць.

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

У Ім было жыццё, і жыццё было святлом для людзе́й;

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

і святло ў це́мры све́ціць, і це́мра не агарну́ла яго.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.

Быў чалавек, пасла́ны ад Бога; імя́ яму Іаан;

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

ён прыйшоў для све́дчання, каб све́дчыць пра Святло, каб усе ўве́равалі праз яго.

This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.

Ён не быў святлом, але прыйшоў, каб све́дчыць пра Святло;

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

было́ Святло íсціннае, Якое прасвятля́е ўсякага чалавека, што прыхо́дзіць у свет;

That[b] was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

у свеце быў, і свет праз Яго пача́ў быць, і свет Яго не пазнаў;

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.

да сваіх прыйшоў, і свае Яго не прынялí.

He came to His [c]own, and His [d]own did not receive Him.

А тым, што прынялí Яго, даў ула́ду стаць дзе́цьмі Божымі, тым, што ве́руюць у імя́ Яго,

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [e]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

якія не ад крывí, і не ад жада́ння пло́ці, і не ад жада́ння му́жа, а ад Бога нарадзíліся.

who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

І Слова стала пло́ццю, і жыло́ сярод нас, і мы ба́чылі славу Яго ад Айца, славу як Адзінароднага, поўнага благада́ці і íсціны.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Іаан све́дчыць пра Яго і, ўскліка́ючы, гаворыць: гэта быў Той, пра Каго я сказаў: Той, Хто ідзе за мною, напе́радзе мяне стаў, бо ране́й за мяне быў;

John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me [f]is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”

і ад паўнаты́ Яго мы ўсе прынялí і благада́ць на благада́ць;

[g]And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

бо закон праз Маісея да́дзены, а благада́ць і íсціна праз Іісуса Хрыста ста́ліся.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Бога ніхто не бачыў ніколі; Адзінародны Сын, Які ва ўло́нні Айца, Ён явíў.

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten [h]Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

І вось све́дчанне Іаана, калі Іудзеі пасла́лі з Іерусаліма святароў і левíтаў, каб спыта́лі яго: хто ты́

Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

І ён вы́знаў і не адро́кся; і вы́знаў: я не Хрыстос.

He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”

І спыталі яго: дык што́ ты Ілія́? І ён сказаў: не. Ты прарок? І адказаў: не.

And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”

Сказалі яму: хто ж ты́ каб даць адказ тым, хто паслаў нас; што́ ты скажаш пра само́га сябе́

Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?”

Ён сказаў: я голас таго, хто клíча ў пусты́ні: вы́прамце шлях Госпаду, як сказаў прарок Іса́ія.

He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,” ’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

А пасла́ныя былí з фарысеяў;

Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees.

і яны пыталіся ў яго і казалі яму: чаго ж ты хры́сціш, калі ты не Хрыстос, ні Ілія́, ні прарок?

And they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

Адказаў ім Іаан, ка́жучы: я хрышчу́ вадою; але сярод вас стаіць Той, Каго вы не ведаеце;

John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know.

гэта Той, Хто ідзе за мною, Які напе́радзе мяне стаў, у Якога я нява́рты развяза́ць раме́нь абу́тку Яго.

It is He who, coming after me, [i]is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”

Гэта было ў Віфава́ры за Іарданам, дзе хрысцíў Іаан.

These things were done in [j]Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

На другі дзень бачыць Іаан Іісуса, Які ідзе да яго, і кажа: вось Агнец Божы , што бярэ́ на Сябе грахí свету;

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

гэта Той, пра Якога я сказаў: «за мною ідзе Муж, Які напе́радзе мяне стаў, бо ране́й за мяне быў»;

This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who [k]is preferred before me, for He was before me.’

і я не ведаў Яго; але, каб Ён быў я́ўлены Ізра́ілю, дзе́ля гэтага прыйшоў я хрысцíць вадою.

I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

І све́дчыў Іаан, ка́жучы: я бачыў Духа, Які сыхо́дзіў як голуб з неба, і Ён заста́ўся на Ім;

And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.

і я не ведаў Яго; але Той, Хто паслаў мяне хрысцíць вадою, сказаў мне: «над Кім убачыш Духа, Які сыхо́дзіць і застае́цца на Ім, Той і ёсць, што хры́сціць Духам Святым»;

I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

і я бачыў і засве́дчыў, што Ён — Сын Божы.

And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

На другі дзень зноў стаяў Іаан і двое з вучняў яго.

Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.

І, убачыўшы Іісуса, Які ішоў, ён сказаў: вось Агнец Божы.

And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”

І пачулі або́два вучні, як ён казаў гэта, і пайшлі за Іісусам.

The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Іісус жа, абярнуўшыся і ўбачыўшы, што яны ідуць за Ім, кажа ім: чаго вы шука́еце? Яны сказалі Яму: Раввí (што азначае: Вучыцель), дзе Ты жыве́ш?

Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?”

Ён кажа ім: ідзіце і ўбачыце. Яны пайшлі і ўбачылі, дзе Ён жыве, і прабылí ў Яго дзень той. Было ж каля дзесятай гадзíны.

He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).

Адзін з дваіх, што пачулі ад Іаана пра Іісуса і пайшлі за Ім, быў Андрэй, брат Сíмана Пятра.

One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

Ён першы знахо́дзіць брата свайго Сíмана і кажа яму: мы знайшлі Месíю (што ў перакладзе азначае: Хрыстос).

He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the [l]Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).

І прывёў яго да Іісуса. Глянуўшы на яго, Іісус сказаў: ты Сíман, сын Іоны; ты будзеш звацца Кíфа (што азначае: ка́мень).

And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of [m]Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, [n]A Stone).

На другі дзень захацеў Ён ісці ў Галілею; і знахо́дзіць Філіпа і кажа яму: ідзі за Мною.

The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.”

Філіп жа быў з Віфсаíды, з горада Андрэя і Пятра.

Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Знаходзіць Філіп Нафана́іла і кажа яму: мы знайшлі Таго, пра Каго пісалі Маісей у законе і прарокі, Іісуса, Сына Іосіфавага, з Назарэ́та.

Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote — Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

І сказаў яму Нафана́іл: ці можа з Назарэ́та быць што добрае? Філіп кажа яму: ідзі і паглядзí.

And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

Убачыў Іісус Нафана́іла, які ішоў да Яго, і кажа пра яго: вось, сапраўды́, Ізраільця́нін, у якім няма крываду́шнасці.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

Кажа Яму Нафана́іл: адкуль Ты мяне ведаеш? У адказ Іісус сказаў яму: перш, чым паклíкаў цябе Філіп, калі ты быў пад смако́ўніцаю, Я бачыў цябе.

Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Нафана́іл адказаў Яму: Раввí! Ты Сын Божы, Ты Цар Ізра́ілеў.

Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

У адказ Іісус сказаў яму: ты верыш, бо Я сказаў табе: «Я бачыў цябе пад смако́ўніцаю»; убачыш бо́льшае за гэта.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

І кажа яму: праўду, праўду кажу вам: з гэтага часу ўба́чыце неба раскры́тае і ангелаў Божых, што ўзыхо́дзяць і сыхо́дзяць да Сы́на Чалавечага.

And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter[o] you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”
